HTC is gearing up to take the wraps off an "edgier" smartphone on Tuesday, September 20 and if recently surfaced reports are anything to go by, it could be either the Desire 10 Pro or Desire 10 Lifestyle - or probably both.

This piece of information comes straight from the horse's mouth itself, and the Taiwanese tech firm is calling attention to its next grand unveiling via Twitter with the hashtag #BeEdgier.

As everyone can see from the teaser that is posted to HTC's official Twitter account, the handset seems to resemble the renders of the Desire 10 Pro that surfaced online last month. If that speculation turned to be true, people may finally be able to get a load of the handset in all its glory in near future, TechTimes reported.

Although, details regarding the specs of the Pro variant have not been divulged yet, it won't be surprising if the said handset turns out to be more powerful across the board as compared to the Lifestyle version.

That being said, both the Desire 10 Pro and the Desire 10 Lifestyle are likely to boast similar design, if the earlier leaks and rumors are anything to go by. The Pro is rumored to be higher-end than the Lifestyle; however, both devices will compete in the mid-range space, complementing the exceptional HTC 10 in the struggling handset maker's portfolio, GSM Arena reported.

HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle: Specs & Features

The Desire 10 Lifestyle is rumored to come with a 5.5-inch screen with a 720 x 1,280 resolution, and it will be allegedly powered by a Qualcomm chip that's part of the Snapdragon 4xx series.

If rumors doing rounds are anything to go about, the Desire 10 Lifestyle smartphone will be available with either 2 GB of RAM coupled with 16 GB of internal storage or with 3 GB of RAM paired with 32 GB of native storage.

Moreover, the device is expected to boast BoomSound Hi-Fi Edition stereo speakers along with a pair of top of the line earbuds out of the box.

It's expected to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow from the get-go, but will soon be up for upgrade to Google's latest OS, Android 7.0 Nougat. No prizes for guessing, it's skinned with HTC's Sense UI on top.

HTC Desire 10 UK Release Date

Since HTC is slated to unveil the HTC Desire 10 Pro and HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle this month, it won't be surprising if the pair make an appearance at IFA 2016. The phones are expected to hit the store shelves toward the end of September; more than likely on September 20 - which is also the date displayed on the phone's homscreen in previously leaked images, PC Advisor reported.

HTC Desire 10 UK Price

The HTC Desire 10 is expected to be a budget-friendly version of the flagship HTC 10, featuring a plastic rather than metal build. Although, HTC has remained tight-lipped regarding the devices' pricing, HTC ROM developer @LlabTooFeR suggest that the Lifestyle will come with a price tag between $150 and $200.

Even if HTC does not unveil the smartphones in question, reports indicate it won't be much of a setback, provided the company announces some other device that can outweigh these two.
