After Sony's PlayStation 4 was outsold by Xbox One in July, Microsoft believes that their Xbox consoles will be successful again this August. The tech company is definitely happy with the demand of their device.
The NPD Group (a market research company) made a sales figures report for July, it showed that the undeniable factor of Xbox One's win over the PlayStation 4 is the price cut.
Aaron Greenberg of Xbox games, gave an explanation that the success can also be attributed to Xbox's momentum coming out of E3 2016, which was held in June. Greenberg is also optimistic for the August sales numbers of the Xbox consoles, according to Tech Times.
The marketing chief of Xbox games made it known that it was a huge show for them. As they announced a lot, with two new consoles, they showcased a huge game lineup, which is a lot of Xbox Live innovation. The marketing chief added that he thinks they are going to sell a lot of Xbox consoles, based on the report of Windows Central.
Aside that Microsoft sold more units than the PlayStation, Xbox also saw an 18 percent boost in total gaming hours on Xbox consoles in contrast to last year's numbers. As of July 2016, Microsoft gave a written account with a total of 1.55 billion gaming hours spent on its Xbox consoles.
However, when Greenberg was asked if he thought Microsoft would be outselling PlayStation 4 again in August, Greenberg didn't directly answer the question. But instead, Greenberg stated that Microsoft is interested in talking about their business on their own.
Greenberg said that they just kind of focus on what they are doing and how they are performing. They are even pleased with how the Xbox One S has performed, in which it has exceeded their expectations.
Greenberg also said they are trying to make as many as they can, and as fast as they can, GameSpot reported.
