Before it became a successful online video sharing platform, YouTube's co-founder Chad Hurley was a boy who showed interest in the arts. Before he became a successful entrepreneur, the Reading, Pennsylvania local did not think of computers until later on.

He became interested in computers and electronic media during high school. He was a stand-out athlete for the Twin Valley High's cross-country. In high school, he was a member of the Technology Student Association. After graduating from Twin Valley High in Pennsylvania, he moved on to Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1999. he was able to get his Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts.

And now, according to Rasmussen, Chad Hurley's estimated net worth is $335 million.

After graduating, he had PayPal under his belt. Even though he graduated with his passion for artwork, he ultimately grew interested in computers more. Eventually, it became a part of his life. Computers were soon incorporated into his and then became a well-known web entrepreneur. YouTube would not have been possible without his talented brain. He, Jawed Karim and Steven Chen, built the video sharing platform. It generated so much success that Google wanted to purchase it for $1.65 billion dollars.

Chad Hurley's estimated net worth was only boosted further after being voted 28th on Business 2.0's "50 People Who Matter Now," which was back in 2006. When asked regarding his involvement with YouTube's design and business, Hurley was mainly responsible for the tagging and video-sharing aspect of the platform.
Although purchased by Google, Hurley stayed on as CEO until October 2010. But he stayed on as an adviser. His presence and stock value in the company just boosted his net worth and over-all financial performance.

Later on, Chen and Hurley began working on another project called MixBit. MixBit does video editing using individual smart phones.

He still loves the arts, though. Did you know Chad Hurley is a part owner of the NBA's Golden State Warriors and the MLS Los Angeles Football Club?
