Microsoft fans have their hopes up that the upcoming laptop will boast its software and hardware most powerful combination. Particularly, with the latest news that the device will be installed with the latest Intel processor and is slated for a 2017 launch.
If this news will turn out to be true, the "Surface Pro 5" will definitely be faster and more efficient in terms of performance. Besides, the device will also come along with a longer battery life, according to Christian Daily.
Aside from the Kaby Lake processor, "Surface Pro 5" is also claimed to be installed with the Redstone 2 operating system (OS), which is expected to hit the market in spring of 2017, based on the report of Game N Guide.
The rumored features of Microsoft's Pro 5 are enough to make a tight competition with Apple Inc., but enthusiasts suggested that there should also be major improvements from the current version.
It has also been speculated that the forthcoming Microsoft's hybrid device will also be packed with a 4K Ultra HD display, making the device the first-ever gadget in the Surface Pro series to have such feature.
On the other hand, as Apple Inc. released the promo ad - "What's a computer?" Microsoft retaliated with a new Microsoft Surface commercial called "What's a computer? Just ask Cortana."
From the title of Microsoft's commercial alone, it features Cortana, Windows 10's personal digital assistant, to keep up with with Apple's Siri. It's a pretty shameless attack by Microsoft on Apple Inc., following what seemed to be a period of peace and partnership between the two tech giants, Business Insider reported.
