Phelps won his 13th individual gold in the final swimming relay race, making a legendary conclusion to his career, which spanned decades. The 31 year old has already won a total of 28 medals in his career. Reportedly, he is to spend time with his supporters who came to the 2016 Rio Olympics and cheered him on.
What are his plans after winning in the 2016 Olympics? Well, after gaining success in his chosen career, Phelps has his mind set on travelling, working, and finally settling down with a family of his own, US Weekly reported.
At a Press Conference last Saturday Phelps shares something about his private life talking about his baby boy and wedding plans. The first-time father says that he is looking forward to seeing his 3-month old son Boomer, whom he could only have FaceTime with for now.
He recounts showing off his medal to his infant on FaceTime and that the young lad had his gaze fixed on the prize. The coveted swimmer joked about letting his son bring one of his medals to school for show.
According to Phelps, he will tell his baby one day being with him every step of the way, being extra careful with him has been the greatest moments, Mirror.UK reported. He wants to be the best parent that he could be to Boomer together with his fiancée Nicole Johnson.
Phelps, the Rio Olympics 2016 swimming champion is also set on marrying his fiancée Johnson, 31, later this year. He already has a very busy schedule laid out for him as he nears his wedding day and there are indeed lots to do. Another milestone and huge achievement for the celebrated Olympian, Phelps.
