The invitations of the multinational conglomerate company Samsung for its September 1 press conference in Germany, leads to speculations regarding the release of "Gear S3."

The presumed smartwatch of Samsung has been running around the internet for months, and the press conference of the company comes almost a year to the day after the company made known the "Gear S2," at the same IFA trade show last year.

The September 1 event of the tech giant would also allow Samsung to get a one step ahead on the rumored "Apple Watch 2" unveiling that might fire up the following week, according to CNET.

As Samsung "Gear S3" might get official soon, rumor has it that people may even witness the "Galaxy Tab S3" tablets being launched. The "Gear S3" is speculated to keep the round shape of the previous model, as well as the rotary bezel.

Also, the smartwatch might be packed with a barometer, a GPS-based speedometer and an altimeter. Therefore, Samsung is enhancing upon the tracking abilities of the upcoming smartwatch. The "Gear S3" will also have a Classic version and both devices will run Tizen, based on the report of GSM Arena.

It seems also that Samsung could release two other versions of the smartwatch, such as the Frontier, and Explorer.

But, no words were out yet whether the tech company has managed to refine its Tizen operating system (OS) to deliver a better performance of the "Gear S3," Tech Times reported.

However, when S2 was launched last year, the device was complimented due to its innovative rotating bezel as well as its battery life. To the same extent, Samsung might have better bring in this year, according to Android Police.

And as the Samsung Pay was being beta tested on the S2, it seems like there's a good chance that the upcoming smartwatch would launch with this feature out of the box.
