Citing the immense popularity of the game worldwide, its hardly surprising to see a slew of "Pokemon Go" tips, tricks, cheats and hacks surfacing online on almost a daily basis.

The hit augmented reality mobile game debuted in additional 15 countries in Asia and Oceania recently. While its not been too long since its release, avid "Pokemon Go" players are traveling in every direction in a bid to catch their favorite Pokemon. Quite a few players have captured them all, while many travel the world just to get their hands on location-based Pokemon.

"Pokemon Go" requires walking far distances. Basically, Niantic Labs wants to encourage gamers to step outside the comfort of their homes and move from one place to another looking for Pokemon. But not everyone is thrilled about going out into the real world to "catch 'em all."

This explains why some players are using hacks and GPS spoofs.

However, Niantic Labs take cheaters out of play by enforcing bans to players who attempt to trick the system. The studio puts soft bans into effect, disabling players from doing anything for about an hour. This compels players to wait until the soft ban is revoked, Yibada reported.

How To Recover Account After Being Banned

Getting banned is not an ideal situation to be in, especially for ardent "Pokemon Go" fanatics. Nevertheless, trying to cheat the system, most of the times gets a player banned; the good news is that there are a couple of ways to lift the ban.

A "Pokemon Go" player, whose account was banned, can try setting up a new account using an alternate Google account; here's how to do that:

When the screen pops up in the beginning, displaying your Google account with a button that read "log into a different account", player needs to hit that button and start a new account. Once he/she reaches a point where he/she can access the settings, he/she can go back to the game and log into his/her old account to find all the data and information intact.

Alternately, you can go to Safari (Google Chrome for Android users) and log out of your Google accounts. After that, open "Pokemon Go" app and log into your original Google account that you initially logged into the game with. Your data will be recovered.

You can also try uninstalling the app first. Once the app is deleted, you need to go to main browser to log out from your Google account and download the app again. You can then log into the Pokemon app with your old account and the data will be recovered; thus ensuring that you do not lose all the items and Pokemon.

Playing "Pokemon Go" can get most devices from fully charged to drained in no time; basically the popular location-based mobile game is quite a big battery hog.

But that's hardly surprising taking into consideration that it requires a player's GPS to be in while playing it. Plus, it uses player's camera while capturing a few Pokemon. Niantic Labs is not unaware of this issue and have rolled out a new update that puts a lid on this, along with the option to change the player's nickname.

In order to utilize the battery saving feature on iPhone, you just need to enable it by tapping the Pokeball, and then go to settings, then battery saver. Then, simply flip the phone upside down to dim the screen and the phone will vibrate when a Pokemon is detected nearby, GameNGuide reported.

How To Change Your Nickname

But that's not all; player can now change their nicknames. It is worth noting that it can be done only once. In case you entered a wrong nickname when starting the game, all you need to do to change it, is tap the Pokeball and then go to settings, then change nickname.
