'Pokemon Go' Player Claims To Have Captured First Ever Legendary; Niantic Will Revoke The Coveted Monster From Trainer Account?
ByLegendaries are cited as the most unique monsters up for grabs in "Pokemon Go;" the type of characters that would only make an appearance during special events organized by Niantic. And yet, there are reports indicating that Legendary Articuno has been captured in Ohio. Also, the button that allows players to transfer Pokemon to Professor Willow has gone missing.
A slew of recently surfaced report indicates that the transfer button has been relocated to a different place.
In the game's previous version, players would have to select their creature and then scroll down to the bottom of the screen in order to send Pokemon to Professor Willow for candy.
However, when players pick their Pokemon now, they simply hit the button in the bottom right corner with three horizontal lines and there, a pop out menu appears, where the transfer option can be found, players need to click that and hit yes.
Besides, the menu also features a favorite button.
Favoriting a creature will restrict players from transferring the Pokemon to Professor Willow. This feature ensures a player does not accidentally give away a valuable Pokemon, especially while removing same species.
Transferring a creature to Professor Willow reward gamers with candies correlated with the given species. Players can then utilize these candies to level up their Pokemon.
The footstep feature too has been taken out from the tracking system. Currently, there is no way of finding out which creature is the nearest or the farthest away from a player, Mirror reported.
The hit mobile game centers on three birds Pokemon i.e. Zapdos, Moltres and Articuno.
Surprisingly, these birds have not made an appearance in "Pokemon Go." Rumor mills swirled a slew of speculations centering on the three creatures hinting that they might debut later in the game. Nevertheless, avid gamers wanted to get their hands on the strong birds. One such zealous player has hatched or captured an Articuno, according to reports on Kotaku.
Quite a few players believe that this could be due to a glitch in "Pokemon Go."
Several gamers have been using Articuno in gyms, where it stands a stronger chance of defeating many of its foes, as it is a powerful mythical Pokemon.
If rumors doing rounds proved to be true, Niantic will remove the creature if it is a glitch.
