Google will roll Android 7.0 Nougat update in few days for some of the Nexus series but unfortunately, Nexus 5 will not receive it. Evan Blass, a reporter and famous leaker, tweeted the news stating that Nexus 5 smartphone will not get Android 7.0 Nougat update.

There are so many people using Google Nexus smartphones but sadly, Nexus 5 will not receive the latest Android OS although they have been waiting for awhile.
For some, it's not a surprise since Nexus 5 was not included in the Android Beta Program. Thus, it should be obvious that the Google's device does not get the Android update.
Android 7.0 Nougat features
The latest Android update is said to let users to enjoy several treats including camera app upgrades with more options for image grids and manual exposure feature. There will also be more features to come, including multi-window support, upgraded Doze for battery saving mode, and enhanced notifications.
Currently, the Android preview is available for Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, and General Mobile 4G Android One devices. This means they are also the first to receive the Android Nougat update.
Android 7.0 Nougat update release: Will we see Nexus 2016 soon?
Android Nougat update will be available on August 5 and LG V20 will be the first smartphone with Android Nougat OS released in September, Know Your Mobile reported. The public should expect HTC Nexus 2016 smartphone release earlier since it will also run Android Nougat.
The news have made Nexus 5 owners a little upset since their smartphones will not receive the Android update. Software enhancements are often a contributing factor when purchasing a device and to enjoy what Nougat has to offer, might need you to switch phone.
