The countdown to Galaxy Note 7 release date begins!

Samsung will unveil Galaxy Note 7 in 'Unpacked' - an event that will officially unbox the flagship features and determine if all the rumors swirling for months on the web, are going to happen.

Galaxy Note 7 leak: the high resolution image shows up

A few days ago, a source revealed further detail on Samsung's flagship. French site, Nowhereelse released images of Galaxy Note 7 in hi-res along with the upgraded S Pen. It also mentioned the smartphone's dimensions 153.5mm x 73.9mm x 7.9mm. Weighing 168 grams, Note 7 will feature iris scanner and USB type C.

The South Korean smartphone maker is rumored to equip Galaxy Note 7 with 5.7 inch QHD Super AMOLED display, 12 MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. The fans expect some improvements on its camera features as it might be competing head to head with the next iPhone generation set to launch in September.

The waterproof phone will also support 4K video. Based on a leak from a store inventory listing, Galaxy Note 7 will have 64 GB internal storage (expandable), UniversityHerald reported. The flagship will likely to run Android Nougat.

Aside from the impressive specs, Samsung might also increase the smartphone's productivity to eliminate any inconvenience.

Galaxy Note 7 release date on August 2

Celebrating the release, Galaxy Note 7 will be unveiled in Samsung event called Unpacked in New York at 11 am. It is reported that those who have been anticipating the smartphone can pre-order the phone in the same day, KnowYourMobile has learned. Another rumor collected from Evleaks mentioned a choice of either free black color Gear VR or 258 GB MicroSD for every Note 7 purchase during promotion.

A few hours ago, Samsung has just published a press release stating that anyone can watch the big event with 360 degree live streaming. Samsung offers three options for those who want to be the first to see Note 7 being unveiled.
