Supernatural crew and casts at Comic Con 2016 revealed some spoilers for the fans

"Supernatural" Season 12 spoilers: Rick Springfield as Lucifer

Previously at San Diego Comic Con 2016, the panel explained new face you might be familiar with. Singer Rick Springfield is ready to play satanic character.

In "Supernatural" season 11, Lucifer took over Castiel's body and plans to use another body in the 12th season. Executive producer, Robert Singer, spilled the plot by stating that Lucifer might need a 'strong vessel like Sam', Variety reported. In the teaser, Sam is being tortured albeit not clear what happens. Fans will likely to see 'hunting Lucifer' activities in the first few episodes of the Supernatural season 12.

Speaking to the media and fans at Hall H, writer Andrew Dabb opened up about bringing a real rock star for the role. However, the team wants someone who can act. Thus, Rick Springfield is seen as the perfect fit. Springfield is a former member of pop rock band Zoot and he made his first appearance as an actor in General Hospital.

The fans were surprised to see Samantha Smith on stage. Smith who plays Mary Winchester could show us a little bit of family matter in season 12. She could appear 'not as a ghost' this time and might be following (or guarding) her sons. However, Padalecki's comment left the audience puzzled as he asked," Does blood make you family, or is it more than just DNA?"
