While the possibilities of having a 4k display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass is a possibility, reports are claiming that the upcoming device is more likely to have Gorilla Glass 5, which is considered the most durable glass cover ever made. With the Gorilla Glass 5, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be the most durable device in the market today as the Gorilla Glass 5 can withstand the effects of a drop as high as 1.6 meters.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will reportedly be more successful than its predecessor, noting that it reportedly includes a stylus with its unique Microsoft Surface Pro 5 charging dock. The upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 5 may also have enough graphics processing unit, which means that it can be a gaming tablet, IB Times reported.
Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will have a USB 3.1 Type C port that has the ability to increase the speed of data transfer between the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and another connected device. However, it is still vague if Microsoft will render an Advanced Micro Device graphics processor units or NVIDIA's Pascal graphic cards, Design n Trend reported.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is also speculated to bring Intel's Kaby Lake chip, which will be completed in 2017. Aside from the Kaby Lake chip, Microsoft further plans on installing the upgraded Windows 10 on the upcoming device. However, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will not be released until Intel finishes its Kaby Lake Processor and until Microsoft finishes the updates that will be included in the Microsoft Surface Pro 5.
