In a bid to sweep PC gamers off their feet after offering them a slew of awful console ports for quite a long time now, Microsoft finally announced that the "Gears of War 4" will boast its own PC-exclusive features.

When Remedy's "Quantum Break" landed on Windows, it was not sparred from limitations, most of which were laid down by Universal Windows Platform's own limits, including overall lack of features and frame rate issues.

That said, avid gamers should not run into similar challenges when "Gears of War 4" rolls around.

Apparently, the upcoming third-person shooter will boast an array of PC-specific features such as deeper video settings that boasts dynamic resolutions to ensure a gamers' ultra-wide display does not go to waste. In addition, it will make optimum use of many-core processors, UWP's recently unlocked frame rates and higher-resolution textures in order to provide a special visual advantage to playing on a robust computer, The Coalition revealed during a Eurogamer interview.

Basically, Microsoft wants to relieve any sort of doubts of PC gamers regarding the fourth installment for "GOW," assuring them the highly-anticipated third-person shooter will not let them down when it finally rolls out.

One of the most annoying problems that PC gamers often face is unlocking the framerates in console ports. Majority of games that originally hail from video game consoles have locked framerates either to 30 fps (frames per second) or 60 fps at the most.

Thanks to its comparatively powerful gaming rigs, PC gamers can not only run games at better frame rates but also at higher resolutions.

There were speculations doing rounds in the gaming realm that "Gears of War 4" could also be plagued with similar framerate lock issues but the team behind the upcoming game has debunked these speculations guarantying "GOW 4" will not be afflicted with such problems.

But that's not all, "Gears of War 4" will boast a benchmarking mode that will check whether a user's PC is capable of handling the game or how smoothly it can run the game, Neurogadget reported.

More PC features can be expected to be unveiled in the upcoming months. It is not yet confirmed if the upcoming title will feature mod support similar to "Fallout 4" and "Skyrim" but that seems unlikely considering the game is largely a linear experience and not open-world.

"Gears of War 4" is slated to hit store shelves on October 11 this year for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
