The incumbent President of the United States released forceful critiques to the statements made by the Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump in his speech on the last day of RNC and described the latter as "divisive liar".

At a press conference in the White House, President Obama alongside Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto told CNN in an interview, "I think it is important to be absolutely clear here. Some of the fears that were expressed throughout the week just don't jibe with the facts." He added, "This idea that America is on the verge of collapse, this vision of violence and chaos everywhere, doesn't really jibe with the experience of most people."

With regards to Trump's claim on boarder security, according to New York Times Obama challenged Trump by saying, "We have fewer undocumented workers crossing the border than we did in the '80s, the '90s, or when George Bush was president. That is fact." He also added that America is much less violent than it was 20 or 30 years ago which was proven by Pew Research Center where the U.S. saw a net loss of 140,000 Mexican immigrants who left more than arrived.

Mexican President Pena Nieto explained the closeness between US and Mexico and regarded it as more than a "relationship between two governments". He said during the press conference at the White House, "It is a solid sound, unbreakable relationship between people who live in both nations."

On the issue of crime rate, Obama cited the statistics on the how the crimes plummeted during his reign from 2009 - 2015. This is a counter rebuttal to Trump's statement that the crime rate has increased since Obama seated as President.

"I've got a lot stuff to do," this was Obama's statement when he asked if he watched Trump's address according to CNN.
