After the countless of rumors spread this past months, Microsoft finally announced the official release date of the slimmer version of the Xbox One console. The Xbox One S is about 40% smaller than the usual Xbox One model. It has some new features included like a 4K Blu-Ray player.

The two TB model of the Xbox One S will be available on the 2nd of August for USD $399 (AUD $549). Microsoft, as reported, confirms that pre-ordering the newest console will ensure buyers to receive the product on the day that it will be released. Pre-orders are still available at Microsoft store but if you really want one, you'll have to be quick since Microsoft states that slots are only limited for those who do pre-orders.

It's worthy enough as Xbox One S' first release will only available to several countries only like: : Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK and United States. While countries that are not mentioned above will probably be on the next batch later this year, IGN reported.

On the other hand, good news to those who are tight in budget as there are two options upon acquiring this new console. The first one is the base bundle coming with a 500GB hard drive plus the controller for only $299 or if you want a bigger memory you might want the 1GB version for only $349. While Microsoft said that the release date of these options are unofficial but some believes that these options should go out together with the 2TB version this coming August, Attack of the Fanboy reported.

Otherwise, gamers are excited to see as this new and slimmer version of Xbox One is getting closer to reality.
