On July 18, Samsung is selling its Olympic Games inspired phone, known as the Samsung "Galaxy S7 Edge" Olympic Games Limited Edition.
In celebration of the upcoming Olympic Games in Rio, the "Galaxy S7 Edge" will be handed over to the world's best athletes. But, for those individuals who wants to purchase the device, the price of the device is not yet revealed for the said event, according to CNET.
"S7 Edge's" unlocked version will be given as a gift to the participants of the Rio Olympic Games. Although, there is no official statement of the price, the regular price of the device is not cheap, so the Olympic Games Edition won't come cheap either, based on the report of The Verge.
As Samsung being the official partner of the Olympics, the company is whipping up excitement by also making 2,000 of these "Galaxy S7 Edge" available in select countries such as Brazil, United States, South Korea and Germany.
However, the multinational conglomerate company is not pitching in a Gear VR. Perhaps Samsung figured out that athletes are too busy preparing for their games rather than to spend much time getting lost in VR.
The Olympic Games Edition is another natural integument for Samsung's flagship. It's a freebie for Olympians, but it's another marketing strategy for the company to get its brand front and center in Rio Olympics.
If a person is a fan of the color scheme, they will be able to purchase the device from Best Buy starting August. And since it is the unlocked model of "Galaxy S7 Edge," its service should include all the major United States networks.
On the other hand, as the smartphones of Samsung have been so famous worldwide, some of these devices are getting updated to Android Marshmallow. Two of these gadgets include the Samsung "Galaxy S5" as well as the "Note 4" on Verizon, Autoomobile reported.
