"The Flash" director Rick Famuyiwa has a three top contenders to play the role of Iris West.

The Hollywood reporter's Borys Kit tweeted that Kiersey Clemons, Rita Ora, and Lucy Boynton are "in the mix to play" the role of the lead female. As of the moment, the Warner Bros did not comment on these reports.

Currently, Ezra Miller, who has long been attached for the title character, is the only confirmed cast of the movie, but other cast members have not been announced. Since Warner Bros. did not confirm reports about casting actress for the role of Iris West, it is unclear when will the studio make their final decision.

There are reports sugget that the production will start this year. In a report by Variety, Seth Grahame-Smith left the project due to creative difficulties, and he was replaced by Rick Famuyiwa.

Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash was first introduced in a "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." In a report by Movie Web, there is a rumor suggests that Cyborg will team up with Barry Allen in the ":The Flash" movie.

The news publication added that the studio is currently casting for five DC Comics characters that include Iris West, Fred Chyre, Len Snart, Eobard Thawne, and Jay Garrick. It is unclear if the studio also currently casting the rest of the characters, aside from them.

"The Flash" movie will start filming after Ezra Miller finishes production on "Justice League Part 1," which will be helmed by Zack Snyder. The release date of this movie is set for November 17, 2017.

"Justice League Part 1" will be carried over into both "The Flash" and "Aquaman," which will be released on July 27, 2018. Meanwhile, "Justice League Part 2" is set to be released on June 14, 2019.
