One month after the release of "Overwatch", Blizzard Entertainment released a competitive play for the game, however, it did not come without a scratch, now, the company released an update that addressed the bug problems in the game.

The Ranked Competitive Play released by Blizzard for their famous game, "Overwatch", was an effort to fix minor issues in the gameplay. Other than very small issues, the multiplayer gameplay was almost perfect. Blizzard has been quick in addressing the issues which include unfair punishments for disconnecting from the multiplayer match. This will not happen after the patch has been downloaded. There are also changes in the death timers, Gamerant reported.

The patches was released on three major platforms: PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. There are also tweaks on the heroes, however, it is only for PC.

The changes on the Sudden Death timers were significant. The timer was tweaked and is now different for each of all maps. Before, the time was constant in 1 minute and 45 seconds. For Hollywood, the Sudden Death duration is still at 1:45, Eurogamer reported.

The changes are as follows:

Assault:

  • Hanamura - 1:35
  • Temple of Anubis - 1:30
  • Volskaya Inudstries - 1:35

Escort:

  • Dorado -1:30
  • Route 66 - 1:35

Watchpoint:

  • Gibraltar- 1:35
  • Hybrid:
  • King's Row - 1:30
  • Numbani - 1:50

For the heroes, there are also minor bug fixes but these are only available on PC. Here is the list:

  • Zarya's alternate fire that scale incorrectly with her damage boost modifier is fixed.
  • Mercy's Caduceus Staff beam disconnects from its target if the player was facing away from the target at the time of the switch and/or quickly switched between damage beams and healing beams and by holding down both mouse buttons. This bug is fixed.
  • Winston's inconsistent melee attack that hits target in range during Primal Rage. This bug is fixed.
  • Fixed more bugs that allowed Reaper to Shadow Step to locations on maps which is not intended for Shadow Step.
