The 2016 Fourth of July fireworks is set to draw thousands of partygoers in N.Y. City, as well as millions on television and online. The pyrotechnics show is slated to start at 9.25 p.m. ET, according to NY Daily News.
For those people who can't make it at the event, they can witness Macy's Fourth of July 2016 fireworks display on the NBC network from 8 p.m. ET. The broadcast on NBC will start 8 p.m. ET - which is more than an hour before the fireworks show gets started at 9.25 p.m. ET, Christian Times reported.
Music lovers can swarm the Seaport District, where an eclectic roster of bands will be performing at the two-day Festival of Independence, hosted in collaboration with Noisey (VICE Magazine's music channel).
On July 3, independent artists from the likes of Wild Nothing, Public Access T.V. Porches and Yumi Zouma will take the stage on Fulton Street from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
On July 4, performers including Phony PPL, the American soul artist Lee Fields and The Expressions, D.R.A.M, MeLo-X and the founder of New York Night Train - Jonathan Toubin DJ are already set to fire up the stage, based on the report of Hollywood Reporter.
The access blocks of Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan will be close as viewing areas fill up. The event goers will be re-routed to open access blocks as appropriate. The NYPD claimed that all access points are subject to change until the day of the Fourth of July 2016 event, Gothamist reported.
And for security purposes, event goers will be searched by the NYPD. And all spectators should not bring blankets, backpacks/containers, lawn chairs or other large bags at the event.
