Police arrested Amanda Bynes Thursday night for drug possession and tampering with evidence after she threw a bong out of her 36th floor apartment, the New York Daily News reported.

Staff at the Biltmore, Bynes' apartment building, called the cops after spotting her smoking weed in the lobby around 7:40 p.m., the Daily News reported. When officers arrived at her apartment she was her apartment smelled strongly of pot.

According to NBC New York, Bynes went up to her apartment when the police arrived at the Biltmore. After opening her door for them, she frantically tossed a clear, foot-long bong out of her window on the 36th floor. No one was harmed by the falling bong and witnesses later saw authorities searching through shrubbery to try and find it.

She was arrested and charges with reckless endangerment, felony tampering with evidence and criminal possession of marijuana.

According to TMZ, Bynes was wearing a platinum blonde wig at the time she was arrested and yelled "Don't you know who I am?"

The New York Daily News reported that Bynes was taken to Roosevelt Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation before being booked.

Bynes, who has a pending DUI charge in Beverly Hills, was reportedly denied entrance to a private jet Sunday. TMZ reported Bynes yelled at the pilot and told him her license was suspended and demanded he Google her.

A neighbor at the Biltmore said she saw Bynes yelling furiously at the apartment building's doorman.

"She was yelling at the doorman when she went up," the neighbor told the New York Daily News. "I don't know what it was about."

Another neighbor named Stephen, 28, had a compassionate message about Bynes upon her most recent arrest.

"Pray for her," he told the New York Daily News. "She needs help. She's crying out."
