Stoic's tactical role-playing video game - "Banner Saga 2," is about to get a little bigger, as Survival Mode is available as a free update to the game.

The Survival Mode of "Banner Saga 2" will allow gamers to gather together teams from a large swath of existing heroes and then set them in conflict with the enemies in 40 back-to-back, which is a turn-based strategy matches.

Survival mode which is a gameplay mode that once a hero dies - that hero will be gone for good. However, each game victory will give the "Banner Saga 2" video gamers a form of in-game currency called Renown - giving the necessary opportunity for the players to add fresh fighters to their team. During combat, items will be dropped off, but there's a 30-second time limit to keep the matches moving quickly, Engadget reported.

The developer and publisher of the video game have announced that development of the game is moving ahead of a schedule.

As the release date of "Banner Saga 2" in Xbox One was made known to the public earlier this week to be July 1. The video game is going to be free for the entire month as part of July's Games with Gold promo, VG247 reported

"Banner Saga 2" will be available on PlayStation 4 on July 5. If the PlayStation Plus members will pre-order the video game, they will get a 10 percent discount. And both "Banner Saga" game pack will also be available for a 30 percent price cut.

The "Banner Saga 2," which is the sequel to the Stoic's 2014 role-playing game, will debut on July on Xbox One as free on Games With Gold title. Xbox reported.

The "Banner Saga 2" which has a regular price of $19.99 will be free all month long to the subscribers of Xbox Live Gold, while the other Xbox One video game "Tumblestone," with the regular price of $19.99, will be free from July 16 until August 15, Polygon reported.
