"PlayStation Neo," the upcoming video game evolution of the PS4, was talked wildly, especially regarding its competition against Microsoft's "Xbox -Project Scorpio."
Jim Ryan, Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe President, responded to the questions regarding "PlayStation Neo's" strategic approach, the current year and future business of the multinational conglomerate company - Sony, JeuxVideo reported.
Ryan first clarified the reason why Sony made a decision to confirm "PlayStation Neo" before E3 2016, and without actually showing in public the console during the show.
Ryan stated that there were many gossips about the issue, so the company wanted to clarify the situation, however, at the same time Sony had a very clear vision of focusing on games at the press conference, Dual Shockers reported.
Sony Corporation believed that it's too early to officially unveil the "PlayStation Neo," in which it should include showing the applications and the edges of the console.
Ryan also made it known for the second time that "PlayStation Neo" won't be having any exclusive games. The president of Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe stated that the company's objective for the future is to enlarge the PS4's installed base.
When Ryan was asked about "PlayStation Neo" will rival Microsoft's "Project Scorpio," Ryan explained that the issue was just rumors and speculations. The issue will be more detailed if Sony will actually announce the specs for "PlayStation Neo."
However, before E3 2016 started, Andrew House (Sony Computer Entertainment head) also confirmed the presence of an upgraded "PlayStation 4" - dubbed as "PlayStation Neo." Even House did not throw in some specific details about the video game, but, based on the rumors, it'll certainly compete for superiority with the Microsoft machine, Pocket Lint reported.
And while the specifications of both consoles resulted in pure speculation, but, it has been said that both video games will offer 4K HDR gaming.
