SharePoint, a collaboration software for iOS, was officially launched by Microsoft. The software can allow iPhone users to access their company's intranet (a restricted communications network).

The app on Apple's operating system - iOS, can technically provide an access to a company's content, internal sites, portals as well as the company's staffs through the intranet which is supported by SharePoint.

The SharePoint team made a written statement thru a blog and stated that the latest mobile app will help a person's work in keeping forward by providing organization portals, resources and quick access to their team sites. The SharePoint app can also monitor into what the people are working on, V3 reported.

The SharePoint team also made it known that the software exists with the brainpower of the Microsoft Graph, which applies machine learning to activity in Office 365 to link the user to the related data and individuals around them.

The American technology company Microsoft stated that the SharePoint app is initially available on iOS (iPhone and iPad users only), but the app will arrive on both Android and Windows platforms before 2016 ends, Tech Crunch reported.

When people use the SharePoint app, three main tabs will pop out - People, Links and Sites. The Sites tab will take the user to all of the SharePoint sites that they're a part of, PC World reported.

The People tab can let users take a look at their coworkers profiles and can monitor their co-workers work. While the Links tab can pull together important links for users to click on, and can get quick access to the essential things of the user.

Microsoft's SharePoint is a continuation of the corporation's 'mobile first, cloud first' strategy, which can hold closely the data and cloud services for employees who are out of the office.

The app also demonstrates how the American technology company is happy for its software to run on rival mobile platforms.
