"Transformers: The Last Knight" set to be released on June 17, 2016, has kept the mind of Transformers fanatics wondering what's in store for them this time. Well here is a quick peek at the story.

All time favorite Transformers now comes with a different twist. It comes contrary to the usual concept that most episodes in the past portray. This time "Transformers" takes you to a trip down the medieval era, JoBlo reported.

Reports say that the story will be around Optimus Prime and his journey to trace the remains and the story behind the destruction of Cybertron, Transformers planet. To his surprise, he found out that he was one of those responsible for killing his beloved planet.

There is one way to bring Cybertron back to life, and there is something Optimus Prime can do to make it happen. He needs to find a certain artifact that can only be found on planet earth given by a Transformer to a Merlin due to its magic powers. The appearance of the said artifact remains to be a surprise until its releasing date.

The Last Knight features Megatron who remains to be the villain with a jet fighter alt mode, while it is still unknown if Bumble Bee will make a comeback.

The Autobots who seemed to have found a new home at Badlands of South Dakota are set to welcome three new members of the Transformers namely The Creator who seems to be playing a very important role on Optimus Prime's quest; Squeaks the Vespa and Cogman the Aston Martin.

Also returning are the Dinobots who will now be joined by their new company, the mini-Dinobots.

This British Mythology themed sequel of the Transformers will also be featuring some old-time favorites. Cade Jaeger will be portrayed by Mark Wahlberg.

For those who missed Josh Duhamel on Transformers: Age of Extinction, he is making his return as William Lenox, a military man on Transformers: The Last Knight, Football Reports Online reported.
