"Kingdom Hearts 3," Square Enix's upcoming action role-playing game, won't feature any worlds from the Final Fantasy series.
Historically, "Kingdom Hearts" games (the final chapter in the Dark Seeker saga) have been set in Disney worlds and only featured some characters of the fantasy media franchise - "Final Fantasy." It appears "Kingdom Hearts 3" will keep it that way, Attack of the Fanboy reported.
During E3 2016, co-director for "Kingdom Hearts 3" - Tai Yasue, explained a bit that the main focus of the new game will be the Disney worlds.
Yasue stated that they are not adding any "Final Fantasy" worlds in "Kingdom Hearts III." Yasue pointed out that a lot of the original "Kingdom Hearts" worlds like Hollow Bastion, Traverse Town, had Final Fantasy characters in them.
Yasue also said that they are not really coming up with any plans in changing the original "Kingdom Hearts" worlds, instead, they are making original worlds and Disney worlds.
Yasue made a compelling point that it's the best thing would be for "Kingdom Hearts 3" is to have Disney Worlds, as it is very recognize and are famous, which are also distinct and unique. Yasue added that they want the difference and variety, and they don't' want a lot of the same things, GameSpot reported.
As stated by the co-director for "Kingdom Hearts 3," worlds that made up the "Kingdom Hearts" games are based on gameplay ideas they want to put into effect, and they try to examine which Disney World best fits this style of gameplay.
However, many gamers were very enthusiastic to find out more information about the forthcoming "Kingdom Hearts 3," with fans of the franchise accounting the "Kingdom Hearts 3" among the most highly anticipated games of E3 2016, Game Rant reported.
"Kingdom Hearts 3" is slated to be released for Xbox One and PS4.
