State and local police have launched a search for an Eastern Connecticut State University (ECSU) student, who has been missing since last weekend.
Alyssiah Wiley, 20, was last sighted on campus Saturday morning by her dorm roommate and her last known contact was through a text message.
Wiley, a sophomore physiology major is an African-American; 5-feet-6-inches tall; 150 pounds; black hair and brown eyes.
Police officers are contacting Wiley's friends and family to learn more about her last known whereabouts.
"She always has a smile on her face, always walking around happy, never heard her say she had any problems with anything, like that," said ECSU senior Jahmille Soares.
Wiley is known to be outgoing, a good student and very active on campus. Her disappearing without informing anyone is very unusual for her.

The Eastern Connecticut State University, established in 1889, is a public, coeducational liberal arts university. It is considered as the second-oldest campus in the Connecticut State University System and third-oldest public university in the state. Although most of the courses are taken on the main campus, few classes take place at Manchester Community College, Capital Community College and a satellite center in Groton.
The university athletic teams are known as 'Warriors'. Its logo features a shield and two crossed swords.
Warriors Men's sports comprises of baseball, basketball, cross country, lacrosse, soccer, and indoor and outdoor track and field; while women's sports include basketball, cross country, field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, indoor and outdoor track and field and volleyball.
