Xbox had been the console of choice for the "Halo" franchise on their third sequel. In spite of this, speculations are now looming that the military science fiction first-person shooter game is already warming up for a Windows 10 platform adjacent to the Xbox One.

Brewed by a recent directive from Microsoft Studios itself - the publisher will now have all its games on hand for both PC and Xbox One platforms, Kotaku reported.

"Microsoft FlightLive" and "Fable III" are just two of the games that Microsoft Studios has made available for the PC.

This latest business venture of adopting previous Xbox solely titles has been hailed as "Project Helix," by the publisher.

Frank O'Connor of 343 industries and creative director of the "Halo" video game series also affirmed the company's scheme as they will now be giving attention in producing games that will go well together with Windows 10. Subsequently, the much-awaited "Halo Wars 2" will be both playable on the Xbox One and PC, The Bitbag reported.

Understandably, Microsoft Studios wants to make better sales on its on hand existing patents as it will also generate retail both gaming consoles.

Another announcement that fans have been looking forward to besides the possible availability of the next "Halo" installment for the PC, is at what date "Halo Wars 2" will be release.

Fans are hoping for a fall 2016 release of "Halo Wars 2" for both Windows 10 and Xbox One. It has been rumored that this announcement will be made available in the course of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 event, which will come about the second quarter of the year form June 14-16, with a venue at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

A live-action adaptation for "Halo" has been cited since 2005. Unfortunately, the big screen adaptation failed to materialize and the rights for the film have took a step back to Microsoft.
