"Pokemon Sun and Moon" announcement is looming, and fans are prepping up to be treated to the highly-anticipated role-playing video games.

While the developer has kept mum as far as details about the upcoming "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" games are concerned, fans are hoping for a slew of things to be announced.

Fans are looking forward for the announcement of the legendary names - despite several gamers speculating that the Sun legendary will be named Solgaleo, and the Moon legendary will be called Lunaala, an official confirmation is still pending.

Among other things "Pokemon" fans are expecting to hear at the time of the company's presentation, is the announcement of a new character. If speculations are anything to go by, there are more than hundred new characters amid the starters and the legendries for "Pokemon Sun and Moon."

"Pokemon" fans would need a little time to prep themselves for all of them prior to the games' November 18 release, Ecumenical News reported.

In addition to the new Pokemon, players are also hoping to witness starter evolution. Details regarding this is already shared with the public on the company's official website - Litten becoming a Fire/Ground type and Rowlet still existing as a Grass/Flying type.

"Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" games will be announced on Thursday, June 2 at around 9 a.m. EST, according to "Pokemon" official Twitter page. However, this time things are expected to be a bit different as compared to the May 10 revelation of the starters for the Alola region.

That said, the "Pokemon" company has stayed tight lipped on how and where it intends to make the announcement. Will it shared via Twitter or will it be a video similar to the May 10 trailer? Looks like fans will need to wait and watch to find out. Since there's an array of options available for the "Pokemon" company, fans can keep an eye on their official Twitter account as well as their official YouTube page for any update, iDigitalTimes reported.

While it may seem like a good idea to take the speculations with a pinch of salt, what is confirmed though is that the official "Pokemon Sun and Moon" strategy guide is now available for preorder on Amazon for $23.99.

"Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" official strategy guide is slated to be released on November 18, along with the game.
