Dylan Quick, 20, has been arrested and faces three counts of aggravated assault for stabbing around 14 people at the Lone Star Community College campus in CyFair.

His first court appearance is scheduled Thursday.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office said that Quick used a razor-type knife and told investigators that he'd been planning the attack at the suburban Houston campus for quite some time. Two of the 14 injured are in a critical condition.

Six victims were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital and six to North Cypress Medical Center while two others refused treatment.

Police staff claims that part of a blade was discovered in at least one victim and broken blade bits were spotted near and around the Health Science Center where the stabbing occurred.

The stabbing rampage began around 11:20 a.m. Diante Cotton, 20-year-old student, said that a girl holding her neck walked into the cafeteria he was in, yelling: "He's stabbing people! He's stabbing people!"

Cotton said that when he went outside he saw about 12 people with bruises on their faces and necks.

Police said that Quick was in full black and may have used an Exacto-knife to stab people.

Once the college officials became aware of the incident, they immediately issued an alert statement:

"Two armed suspects at LSC-CyFair. One suspect is at large. Stay away from the area. Seek shelter in a secure location until the incident is resolved. Be aware of your surroundings."

The sheriff, however, told abc that based on the surveillance video evidence there is only one suspect in the case.

The college was shut for the rest of the day and will resume classes, Wednesday.

Quick's neighbours at Houston described him as reserved and introverted who stayed indoors most of the time except to perform some yard activities.

Michael Lincoln, who lives next door to the Quick family, described the attacker as affectionate and not aggressive by nature.

"If he's outside, he speaks to me, 'Hey neighbor, how you doing?'" Lincoln said. He added that his arrest came as a surprise.

Magdalena Lopez, 48, who has lived across the street from the Quick family for the past 15 years, said that Quick is deaf and a street sign, 'Deaf Child In Area,' was posted on the block cautioning drivers of his condition.
