Purdue University police are seeking help from the public to identify a young man, who could be responsible for the three sexual assaults that occurred on or near campus last month.

The possible suspect is described as a college-age male on a skateboard.

He is known to have grabbed three women in a sexual manner -- one near the Purdue Memorial Union, one near the University Street Parking Garage and one east of the Union, the university said. All three incidents happened during the day, from early in the morning to middle afternoon.

"We would like for him to come and talk with us or for anyone who might know him to let us know so that we can get in touch with him," said Purdue police Lt. Fred Davis.

Investigators said that the young man, caught in a surveillance video, might or might not be a student at the university. They are also not sure if he is the assaulter.

They just want him to come out in the open as they feel that he might be able to provide additional information.

Purdue spokeswoman Jeanne Norberg said that incidents such as these pose dangerous risks, especially to woman, as it can happen anytime, anywhere and to anyone.

Student Angela Agelson said that, following these assaults, she will be vigilant about her surroundings.

Junior Brittany Wagner said that she will not feel safe, until the suspect gets caught. She is not planning to use any ear phones in order to be attentive 24/7.
