Blizzard's multiplayer first-person shooter "Overwatch" is rife with varied characters and potential background storylines. The company released the animated short "Dragons" which gave us a glimpse of the animosity between bow-toting Hanzo and cyborg ninja Genji.

Dragon Brothers Hanzo and Genji

In the animated short "Dragons," it revealed that it refers to both Hanzo and Genji and that they are both brothers. The short cinematic started with Hanzo not knowing at first that the robot ninja he fought was his brother Genji. The two are apparently successors to the Shimada yakuza family and they are trained assassins as well, Game Rant reported.

Hanzo ultimately believed that he killed his brother Genji in order to succeed him. However, it was revealed that "Overwatch" managed to keep Genji from dying. Genji had Hanzo cornered but instead of killing his brother, Hanzo spared him believing that they could help in "Overwatch."

"Dragons" is the third cinematic short from "Overwatch" and it follows "Alive" and "Recall" which featured Widowmaker, Tracer and Winston. We can expect Blizzard to introduce more "Overwatch" characters soon by their animated shorts.
