Wentworth Miller is not going to appear in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 anymore. The death of Leonard Snart, also know as Captain Cold, Miller's character, explains the reason for the series' change. The 43-year-old Miller was a regular of the current superhero team-up following his appearance on "The Flash."

While Miller will no longer be a regular character in season 2 of the "Legends" series, Deadline announced that the actor has signed a regular contract with Warner Bros. TV. Miller's duties will cover a variety of DC Comics shows that are being developed by Greg Berlanti.

Several fans of the "Legends of Tomorrow" were surprised by the death of Snart, however, Miller's character had been planned to end since the actor had signed to a short-term deal only. Berlanti said in an interview that they always knew that the actor would not be a regular cast of the Waverider, and that they loved in spite of that. Nonetheless, the death of Snart will not be permanent because of the series' time-travel nature. As explained by Berlanti, while Snart will no longer be part of the "Legends" team in 2017, the character will still play an important role on the show, Deadline reported.

According to Berlanti, they were followed by the fact that the comic books have also been part of the casts, and that the initial contract was not only applicable to one show. He added that they wish to continue with more characters having their way in all the shows, Design and Trend reported.

Meanwhile, the "Legends of Tomorrow" season 1 finale entitled "Legendary," will be shown on May 19, Thursday at 8 p.m. on The CW. The Season 1 will be ending with Rip taking the team to the Central City following a few months since they left. The characters will be going back to their ordinary lives and should make an individual decision whether to give up everything just to be able to save and protect the world. Moreover, Sara, played by Caity Lotz, will be paying her father a visit, who will eventually bring her some heartbreaking news that concerns her sister.
