Justin Litton, 36, was arrested March 18 for killing a college student in a weekend crash. Apparently Litton was involved in a chase with the police when the collision took place.

Before his arrest, Litton was admitted in a University of Kentucky Hospital for his injuries.

On March 16, Pulaski County deputy sheriff was chasing Litton on Kentucky 80 in Somerset when he intentionally slammed head-on with the 33-year-old Levi Stephens' vehicle.

Stephens, a Somerset Community College student, was declared dead at the hospital.

His mother, Teresa Stephens-Davis, told LEX 18, "I'm still in shock and numb. Angry. All those feelings right now. I just expect him to walk in the door still, even though I know he's not going to," the victim's mother, Stephens-Davis.

In memory of her son, Stephens-Davis has created a Facebook page called "In Memory Of Levi Stephens."

Bobby Jordan Bruce, Stephens' friend told the newspaper that he was a friendly person with a big heart.

Pulaski County Jail Officials told the newspaper that Litton has an extensive criminal history.

He was arrested a week before the accident for Driving under the influence (DUI), but was released on bond.
