Three Lebanon Valley College students, Kevin Greene, Danielle Biggs and Sheila Betz, are in the process of creating a webpage for the Lebanon County Historical Society to showcase 50 objects from the Stoy Museum that tell the history of the county.

This community-driven initiative coincides with the Lebanon County's bicentennial celebrations this year

Through this webpage, the students hope to highlight the society's efforts and tell the story of the county through the 20,000 items that are interrelated to the history of Lebanon County.

"It's been neat (to work on the project) because we're working on putting the county's history together through these objects," Greene said. "Each one of these individual objects has a unique history, a unique story ... Who used it? How did they use it? Why did they use it?"

Greene told Lebanon Daily News that the web page will allow people to take a virtual tour of the items and learn the background information about the objects and their association with the history of the county.

Just by clicking on the photo, the online visitors will get all the necessary information. The site will also permit them to share the picture on social media websites.

Along with the help of the society's staff, the students selected the best artefacts for the web page.

Art Clagett, a commercial photographer at Simone Associates and a Historical Society board member, clicked the photographs of the 50 objects for the web page.

The students are working on this project since last fall and are expected to complete it by April 8.
