The Kennesaw State Department of Athletics, Monday, launched a new website to provide detailed information about the progress of the university's new football program.

The website known as 'KennesawStateFootball.com' will be the destination for Owls' football fans to get the latest updates on the team including the Fifth Third Bank Stadium, match tickets, schedules, recruitment page and seating plan among other important information.

"We are extremely excited to launch the KennesawStateFootball.com micro-site," Padraic McMeel, associate athletics director for external operations, said. "This site is intended to provide fans and members of the Kennesaw State University community with in-depth news and information regarding football, the Priority Points System and Priority Seating program, the process for purchasing tickets, and a calendar of events pertaining to football."

The interactive micro-site also features Priority Points System and Priority Seating Program to give preference to loyal donors and supporters of Kennesaw State Athletics and to allow other supporters to acquire proper seating based on their annual contributions to The Owls Fund.

The university has plans to review its seating policies every three years to equally dispense the tickets to the 8,300-seat Fifth Third Bank Stadium that will host the inaugural Owls football game in the fall of 2015.

Owls football fans interested in purchasing the tickets should follow these six steps stated out by the university.

- Complete a Letter of Intent (LOI) ticket request form.

- Get involved to build priority points.

- Track and continue to build priority points.

- Confirm the number of tickets requested and an Owls Fund donation.

- Mail a seat selection appointment.

- Select seats in early 2015

Last month, the Board of Regents approved the university's proposed athletic fee hike from $152 to $252 per semester to introduce a football program and Title IX women's athletic programs.
