Kesha is back in the studio and recording new music with producer Zedd. They are working on a remix of "True Colors" based on Zedd's second album. However, Kesha is still bound under contract with Kemosabe Records and her accused abuser Dr. Luke.

Kesha sang "True Colors" earlier this month during the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, US Magazine shares. It is considered to be the singer's first performance for many months since her preliminary injunction against Dr. Luke was denied in February earlier this year.

Since then, Kesha is still under her original contract but has managed to make new music with Zedd. The German DJ clarified using his Twitter account to tweet that his collaboration with Kesha is legit and did not need "loop holes" as they got the right permission from Kemosabe Records and RCA Label Group.

The "Tik Tok" singer was so thankful to Zedd that she posted a heartful message on her Instagram. She called the collaboration a miracle and Zedd a person with a golden heart. According to Huffington Post, Zedd posted a teaser of their collaboration on his Instagram account. However, fans were able to determine that the woman with the hat in the picture he posted was in fact Kesha.

Kesha first filed a lawsuit against Dr. Luke, her manager for sexual assault, violence, and emotional and verbal abuse in 2014. People Magazine notes that Dr. Luke has denied the allegations and the lawsuit was dismissed in April of 2015. However, Kesha is still in the midst of an ongoing legal battle to end her contract with her manager. Celebrities, musicians and fans including Zedd have been openly supportive of Kesha since the news of the legal battle broke out. "True Colors" officially comes out on Friday.
