Being a winner of a famous reality show has its own share of pros and cons. While an individual receives instant recognition and celebrity status, he/she faces constant struggle to maintain the status and to spend time with one's family and friends.
Winners are always pre-occupied with their new releases, giving performances at various events, concerts or at college festivities.
Phillip Phillips, 22, winner of the 2012 "American Idol" TV show is one such example. He has been booked for the next three months to give live performances at varied events.
YMCA has invited him to be a part of their event, 'Elkins-Randolph County benefit', May 14, at Harper-McNeely Auditorium, Davis & Elkins College.
And Philips' performances is not just limited to charitable events, he is also scheduled to appear at many colleges and universities around the country. He has become an "idol" for many aspiring music students.
Philip has already been invited to perform at BenBash 2013 in Benedictine university's Dan and Ada Rice Center, April 13.
Phillips has produced the most popular coronation song, 'Home', by any 'Idol' winner as it sold more than 3.4 million copies. And his debut album, 'The World From the Side of the Moon,' received a gold status and climbed to number four spot in Billboard's Top 200 chart.
Every year, 'American Idol' winners are part of college tours that span for almost two- three months.
