One of Carroll College's Dorm rooms, Borromeo Hall, was burglarised over the week-end and thousands of dollars worth of personal items was stolen.

Helena Police Chief Troy McGee, told Bear Tooth NBC that two male students were sleeping in their dorm room and they woke up around 4:00 a.m. Saturday to a thief looking through their personal items.

One of the student first thought that it was his roommate. But, by the time he realised it was a burglar, it was too late to catch him.

The robber took away more than $3,000 worth of items which included a Play station, a Dell Computer, a video camera and hard drive.

According to the police, the suspect is a medium-build about 5'10" tall male with curly black hair and wearing a black North Face jacket.

McGee said that the suspect might have entered through the back door of the dorm as it was found open.

Borromeo Hall is usually allocated to second year students, both men and women, which mostly features single rooms. Students prefer to live in this hall as it is surrounded by a quiet atmosphere and it is close to classrooms, labs, dining hall and student's activities.

The hall also includes offices, classrooms and the Center for Talking Saints Forensics team. It was originally designed and built for a simple lifestyle for students entering priesthood.

In addition to the second years, retired priests and pre-seminary students live in the building.

Carroll College, a private, Catholic liberal arts college, was founded as an all-men's liberal arts college to train men for careers in priesthood, law, medicine, teaching and engineering.
