Youngsters from Black Hills State and other universities get a ticket price waiver for Comedian and magician Chipper Lowell's performance at Matthews Opera House and Arts Center, March 7.
They have to pay only $10 to get admission compared to $25 for adults.
Lowell will be presenting a high-energy and extremely funny show, 'The Chipper Experience - Where Comedy and Magic Collide,' at the center.
"This man is hilarious - you won't stop laughing," Sian Young, executive director of the Matthews Opera House and Arts Center, told Black Hills Pioneer.
Lowell is an award-winning comedian and magician performing unique comedy shows for the past 20 years to audiences all over the world.
Normally, his show features a combination of unusual stunts, bizarre magic, dangerous juggling, razor-sharp ad libs and rapid-fire and stand-up comedy.
Lowell's talent for presenting such remarkable shows comes to him naturally as both his parents were circus performers.
His father was a professional clown who worked for the Ringling Bros, while his mother was a gymnast and aerialist who performed dangerous stunts including "Iron Jaw," where she suspended herself several stories above the crowd using only her teeth.
As his performances thrill audiences world-wide, Lowell has been conferred with many awards such as the "Comedy Magician of the Year' twice by the International Magician's Society and 'Specialty Act of the Year' by the Tahoe Daily Tribune and Action Magazine.
He has also appeared in a lot of television programs and toured the world to present his comedic magic shows.
Young said that Spearfish community are lucky to have him here and watch his family-friendly hysterical show at the center.
