A game-and-a-half up in first place with four games to go, the Kansas Jayhawks (2) could do themselves a huge favor toward locking up their 12th consecutive Big 12 regular season title with a road win over the Baylor Bears (19).

Kansas opened its Big 12 schedule with a 102-74 drubbing of Baylor before losing ground in the conference standings to Oklahoma during a 2-3 stretch. But the Kansas team visiting Baylor Tuesday night is riding a seven-game winning streak during which they have only allowed one conference foe to score more than 70 points.

Baylor bounced back from its loss to Kansas by winning five in a row and seven of eight overall. Losses to Texas, West Virginia, and Texas Tech set the Bears back, but they have rebounded by beating Iowa State and Texas back-to-back. The Big 12 lead is still not out of reach for Baylor, as they are still scheduled to play Oklahoma and West Virginia, but they will need to start by beating Kansas.

"We're in that chance to win the Big 12," Baylor head coach Scott Drew said in a pregame press conference, according to ESPN. "This is that grind time for everybody."
