Fort Lee resident Maureen Elizabeth Fay has been inducted into the St. Thomas Aquinas College Hall of Fame for her commitment to community services, late January.
She now joins the list of 150 recipients of this prestigious recognition.
Fay completed her bachelor's degree in English from the college, 1970, and masters degree from Columbia University.
She served as an editor of the college newspaper and as a high school teacher and administrator at the South Orangetown School District.
Fay was also part of fundraising initiatives for the Fort Lee Community.
Along with Fay, eight other alumni have been introduced in the Hall of Fame this year. They are: Thomas A. Donovan, B.S. (1983), Christine Ann Colacino, B.A., M.A. (1982); Barbara Sullivan McConnell, B.S. Ed. (1980); Andrew M. Krakaur, B.S., MBA (1979); Lynn M. Donovan-Krakaur, B.A., MBA (1978); Breda Murphy Bova, Ph. D. (1967); and Sheila Mullins, O.P., M.S. (1963).
"Each year we look forward to honoring the new inductees at the Annual Hall of Fame Dinner. We are proud of the variety of individuals who have either graced our campus as undergraduate and graduate students or taken a keen interest in our growth as friends of the College," said Dr. Margaret M. Fitzpatrick, S.C., president of the College.
St. Thomas Aquinas College is an independent liberal arts college in NY with a student population of 2,700.
