The American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) in association with Infiniti Medical, LLC, is offering an advanced veterinary interventional radiology course exclusively for ACVIM members to help improve health care for pets.
The 'Veterinary Interventional Radiology Summit' is a special course that will combine lectures and wet laboratory training in vascular and non-vascular image guided procedures.
The interactive course will teach the participants the skills and knowledge required to use the equipments in the IR procedures and to incorporate them into patient care.
This eight hour practical course, March 8, will be taught by Marilyn Dunn and Todd Cohen, at the Oquendo Center for Clinical Education in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dunn is an Associate Professor Internal Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Université de Montréal. Dr. Todd Jay Cohen has 24 years of experience in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
Two additional courses will be offered, June 29 and Nov.2.
"ACVIM has been offering advanced educational courses for over three years to elevate the knowledge base of our members," said Harold McKenzie, DVM, MS, DACVIM (Large Animal Internal Medicine) .
McKenzie said that partnership with Infiniti Medical not only brings high quality education to ACVIM members but also expands the college's curriculum.
Jeffrey Solomon, MD Infiniti Medical's president said that the last two summits offered along with ACVIM have been very well received and achieved positive feedbacks.
Soloman said they would continue to offer the most advanced IR courses in the veterinary field to its members.
