With all the attention LSU has been getting for its juggernaut recruiting class, Ole Miss has flown relatively under the radar with a monster incoming class of its own.

And now head coach Hugh Freeze added a major piece: four-star wide receiver Tre Nixon.

"As soon as I walked on campus it felt like home, I can't express how comfortable I felt around all the coaches and players and that's what did it for me, family," Nixon told The Jackson Clarion-Ledger.

247 Sports rated Nixon a respectable 0.9224 composite score, 36th among wide receivers in the 2016 class, but the Melbourne, Fla. prospect distinguishes himself with remarkable top end speed. 247 Sports listed his 40-yard dash speed at 4.38 seconds, but he insisted he is not just a straight line runner.

"I really pride myself on being able to run all the routes, and that's something I spent a lot of time working on during the offseason. I don't want to just be considered a guy who can only go deep. I want to be able to do everything," Nixon told Bleacher Report in Nov., at which time he narrowed his final decision to a handful of schools.

ESPN ranks Ole Miss' incoming recruiting class third overall behind only LSU and Ohio State. Freeze now has 20 recruits in 2016 class, two of which are five-star prospects.
