Betting experts and college football experts alike believe Alabama should be favored over Clemson in the CFP National Championship, but almost no one is counting the latter out entirely.

According to ESPN, Vegas favors Alabama by seven points and thus far the majority of bettors have put money on the Tide to win. But Alabama's status as the clear favorite has influenced large bets on Clemson as well as Alabama, which of course be a major reward if the Tigers win.

"Every time we take a big bet on one side, we get another to balance it out on the other," a sportsbook manager at Caesars told ESPN.

Here is a roundup of various experts' picks for the College Football Playoff National Championship game.

Submitting their final betting picks of the season with ESPN.com, the CFP Vegas Experts favored the Crimson Tide.

Phil Steele: Alabama wins 30-20

Chris Fallica: Clemson wins 24-21

Steve Coughlin: Alabama wins 28-19

Will Harris: Alabama wins 31-14

Out of SB Nation's 10 college football analysts, six picked Alabama, which was indicative of Football Study Hall giving the Tide a 58 percent chance to win.

For USA Today, five writers picked Alabama and two went with Clemson, both of whom pointed to quarterback DeShaun Watson as the difference maker.

Out of 11 college football experts at Sports Illustrated, only Ben Estes picked Clemson and sure enough predicted Watson to win the game's MVP award. Of the 10 that picked Alabama, six chose Derrick Henry as the MVP.

All of CBS Sports' six college football experts picked Alabama straight up, but two took Clemson against the spread.
