Arizona State University dismissed two student-athletes from the Sun Devils football team after they were arrested for burglary.

Jayme Otomewo and Deonte Reynolds were arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary and were then booked in jail on Sunday, ABC 15 Arizona reported. Both have since posted bond, but details of their arrest are not available at this time.

It is unclear if they have been formally charged and if - or when they are due in court, as AZCentral.com learned the two were booked at the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office on "allegations of second-degree burglary."

SunDevilsSource.com reported obtaining a message from Otomewo admitting to stealing from a female while inside her residence. He called the incident "completely outside of my character and would shock anyone who has known me since a kid."

Reynolds does not appear to have issued any sort of statement on the matter. According to AZCentral.com, Reynolds was involved in a fight this past Oct. involving multiple people and wound up with someone firing a gun. Reynolds was not charged and ASU head football coach Todd Graham said he was a victim in that case.

Reynolds, a defensive tackle, spent this football season redshirting, so he did not play. Otomewo, a safety, spent most of the season playing on the Sun Devils scout team and did not get much playing time.
