Olivia Culpo, the new Miss Universe, has reportedly announced that she is unlikely to go back to Boston University to continue with her educational program.
Associated Press reported that she said that she has plans to quit Boston University, in order to go after her dream. "Olivia the BU sophomore wants to finish her education, but does not believe that the Boston could advance her ambition to become an actress," the news agency reported.
Culpo aspires to become an actress. Winning the Miss Universe crown, soon after Miss USA earlier this year, is just another shot in the arm. Earlier, she confessed that she desires to make a name for herself in showbiz industry, either on big screen or TV.
The 20-years-old diva had already put her education on hold for almost a year as she had to meet the requirements to participate in Miss USA competition, including travel and charity obligations.
Culpo's family has also agreed to support on her decision. Her parents in Cranston, R.I., have rooted for her plans.
According to AP report, a spokesperson, however, claimed that Culpo as far as the Miss Universe Organization knows, Culpo has not ruled out returning to Boston University.
Culpo, ended the losing streak of USA that lasted for 15 years, won the Miss Universe title last week. She had to beat about 88 contestants from six continents across the world.
She hails from Cranston, Rhode Island, and was born as the middle child of five. Her parents are avid musician and taught her to jam on different instruments throughout her childhood along with her siblings. She went on to master in the cello.
