The Baylor Bears (6) have been held back in the College Football Playoff (CFP) ranking by a weak schedule and the loss of their starting quarterback, but get a true test hosting the Oklahoma Sooners (12).

Oklahoma finds itself in a similar situation, but unlike Baylor they are not undefeated and are trying to recover from a loss to Texas. The Big 12 is promising an exciting finish, as its top teams play each other in a string of four weeks that will determine the conference's championship.

Baylor stayed put on the CFP's ranking after beating Kansas State by a touchdown on the road with true freshman Jarrett Stidham at quarterback. The unchanged ranking may be a sign the CFP committee is waiting to see what Stidham and the Bears do against Baylor.

For Oklahoma, a road win against Baylor would be valuable, but they do not have to worry about important wins as much as they need to just be concerned with winning.

"The way we've been playing, you have to feel confident - the way we've been executing, really, in all parts of the game," Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops said in his weekly press conference. "As much as anything, we're playing together as a team. The offense has been moving the ball and putting pressure on the other team, the way they're scoring and moving the ball, and defensively, coming up with pressure and turnovers and a lot of good stops. We've got to play that way Saturday."
