Students of Martin high school in Arlington Texas have made another "Lip Dub" video in support of a fellow-student who is suffering from cancer. Funds raises by the video will be for cancer research.
In the latest "Lip Dub" video, all students of Martin, about 3,321 of them, have participated and prepared over a 12-minute long video that is full of colour and joy. It's said that the students rehearsed for months to prepare the video, with about 300 faculty rooting for the students in the footage.
"As large as we are, we have many separate groups, but we're not one school," said Doug Murray, a senior and a photography student who shot the fast-moving video, destined for YouTube. "The purpose of this project is to bring everyone together into one production," he said to Star-Telegram
The video titled "Lip Dup" has been uploaded on YouTube. The students will match every view the video gets online and all the proceeding will go into cancer research to support their fellow student Taylor Helland, who is under chemotherapy for a rare form of the Big C.
The 16-year-old had a surgery and is undergoing several rounds of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, the threatening cancer continues to remain defiant to the treatments.
In 2010, Arlington Martin High school students prepared their first 'Lip Dub" video, in the name of school unity which instantly went viral on Internet.
