The SEC West placed two teams in the College Football Playoff's (CFP) Top Four, but both will not stay so highly ranked much longer.

The LSU Tigers (2) will visit the Alabama Crimson Tide (4) in what promises to be one of the most competitive matchups of the season. The game also features two of the best running backs in the country, though the game may not come down to either one.

Both LSU and Alabama allow less than 100 yards of rushing offense per game, on average. But both LSU running back Leonard Fournette and Alabama running back Derrick Henry are averaging well more than 100 yards per game.

Neither team is particularly tough against the pass, so the key matchup could be Jake Coker against LSU's defensive backfield and Brandon Harris against Alabama's defensive backfield.

"The good news is we've played these games before and we certainly understand them," LSU head football coach Les Miles said in his weekly press conference. "A big game is only so big, right? You're playing for all the things you wanted to play for at the beginning of the year. You're playing for the lead in the West. And you've put yourself, with your achievements, this team, in position to do so. They should look forward to it. They should relish it."
