Listening to Adele's music and considering her extensive accomplishments, it is easy to forget that she is a 20-something just trying to figure things out.

The 27-year-old singer gave multiple interviews in the U.S. and U.K. Friday to promote her new single, "Hello," and her upcoming album, "25." Adele's previous album "21," won her seven Grammy awards and received an RIAA certification of Diamond for clearing 10 million units sold.

For the uninitiated, the numbers of Adele's albums ("19" was her debut) indicate how old she was when she wrote the songs. In a conversation with Jenny Eliscu on Sirius XM radio's "The Spectrum," indicated that she drew inspiration for her upcoming album from being a 20-something.

"Me and all of my friends, we all feel like we were in this weird sort of limbo phase - kind of like Tom Hanks in 'Castaway,' at the end of the crossroads. You need to decide which road you want to go down - and although we get to take each other down the road, we don't get to take [everybody], because we've got our own lives going on," Adele told Eliscu. "And I feel incredibly nostalgic, since I've turned 25. I've become even more emotional - though I've always been emotional, I'm an emotional wreck, clearly.'

"I realized, when I was 25, that I was still holding on to-not 'grudges,' but really unnecessary things. And I couldn't even remember why, I was like- annoyed with someone, or anything like that. I felt childish, and becoming a parent, you've only got so much custody and space to worry about things. so I have to let go all of those things."

And like a true 20-something (with a three-year-old child, no less), she contemplated a dramatic career move, dreams of collaborating with Beyonce, and does not trust herself around Twitter when she is drinking.

So welcome back, Adele, and thank you for earnestly articulating what the millennial generation is going through today.
